Peter Costa, aka The Poet, makes it in seventh place to the final of the Professional Poker Tour event in Los Angeles, after a nail-bitingly tense day of play.

"I was all-in three times," said Peter Costa, "and the lowest on chips, and after three days without sleep, I was running on sheer determination and I played my heart out, but I’m in the final on March 12th."

In the final hours of play, Peter Costas was knocked out to seventh place after he moved all-in for 38,000 with JcTs. Tom McEvoy reraised all-in for 86,000 more from the big blind, and Toto folded his A6. McEvoy had QcQs. The flop was Q76, and after a 2 on the turn, the river card, another 2, was immaterial.

Sponsored by Poker Plex, www.pokerplex.com, Peter Costa is playing in the Professional Poker Tour, which is part of the World Poker Tour and is a spin off event that is by invitation only to the top poker players in the world. The Bay 101 Casino is hosting the event, which has a $4,000,000 prize pool, eligible to the qualifying six players.
